Park Distance Control
A park distance control (PDC) kit uses ultrasonic sound waves and a control module to detect obstacles near your vehicle bumpers. Standard aftermarket kits cost between R300 and R1,500, featuring 2 to 4 sensors, a hole-saw drill bit, a main control box, and an audible buzzer or LED display
Four flush or surface-mount heads installed on the front or rear bumper to ping objects.
A small processor box wired to power and the sensors.
An audible buzzer that speeds up or turns solid when you get within 30 cm of an object, often paired with a visual LED/LCD screen.
Wired into the reverse lights for rear kits so it activates automatically in reverse gear.
